Tartelette In Bloom Review and Eye Makeup Look

  Hey guys!
Today I'm bringing you an eye look using the amazing Tarte Tartelette in Bloom eyeshadow palette. Hope you enjoy!

This palette is by far my new favourite neutrals eyeshadow palette. It literally has every colour you need to make a variety of different beautiful daily looks (and more!). It is a perfect mixture of mattes and shimmers.

Today I decided to share with you a super simple everyday eye look. It is really easy to do but yet emphasizes your eye colour beautifully. Easy but looks like you made effort? Yes please! And now I will tell you how I did it...

I firstly applied Funny Girl all over the lid. Funny Girl is an absolutely gorgeous champagne shimmery colour and is my favourite colour in the whole palette! It also makes a gorgeous highlight on the cheekbones for my fellow gals who love a bit of shimmer. I next added Rebel into my crease and used Smarty Pants to blend it out. Can we take a moment to appreciate the names of these eyeshadows.. Ok continue.. I then added a bit of funny girl under my lash line on the first third and then blended firecracker on the outer two thirds. I added a cat eye liner look using PS Love's liquid liner and then applied Urban Decay Perversion Mascara on my top and bottom lashes.

For my first look with this palette I wanted to show you a simple but pretty eye look that anyone could create with this palette but be warned a dramatic look is coming for you soon. Thanks for reading and I hope you liked it! Let me know if you enjoy this eyeshadow palette as much as I do.

Beauty Haul

  Hey guys!
Today I'm going to do a beauty haul on the products that I recently picked up on a mini shopping spree. Hope you enjoy!

The first product that I picked up is the Barry M Flawless Colour Correcting Primer for anti-redness. This primer claims to combat redness, minimise pores, smooth skin and mattify the skin (big claims). For me, it does three out of those four things. It minimises the appearance of my pores, it smooths and mattifies my skin but it does not hide any of the redness in my skin. But I really enjoy this primer because it does make my make-up last longer on my skin but I would prefer if it counteracted some of the pesky redness that I have in my skin.

Some of the Batiste dry shampoos were discounted so of course I had to buy one (I'm saving money so that makes it ok right?). This time I decided to pick up the Batiste Dry Shampoo Plus. This dry shampoo is AMAZING. Not only does it give your hair lots of volume but when I use this, I can go a week without washing my hair! For my greasy hair this is seriously impressive. I will continue to repurchase this again and again.

There was a sample rack at the checkout and of course I couldn't resist and ended up buying a mini size of Benefit's Roller Lash Mascara. To be honest, this is not one of my favourite mascaras that I've used. It is a good mascara but it doesn't produce the volume in my lashes that I like. There are definitely cheaper alternatives that would do a better job.

I have recently started to wear fake eyelashes a lot more and so I decided that it was time to purchase the Eylure Lashfix in Black. I really enjoy this lash glue purely because it is and black so you don't see white gloopy  glue on your lashes. Those lash glues that are supposed to dry 'clear' never do for me (probably because of my hopeless application) but using a black lash glue is so much easier. My fake eyelashes also stay in place all night when I use this lash glue.

My skin has been very temperamental this month so I decided to pick up a foundation that had some good ingredients to help my skin so I was killing two birds with one stone (I hate that saying). The Seventeen On the Spot foundation contains blemish fighting salicylic acid so I decided that this would be a good choice. Since using this foundation has definitely improved. I don't know how effective it is in combating the spots that I have but it has definitely played a part in preventing any more breakouts.

I have recently added cream bronzing to my night out make-up routine. For this, I've been using the W7 Chunky Bronzer. I have never used any other cream bronzer so I don't have anything to compare this to but I do like using it. I like the golden colour that it gives and it's very blendable and easy to use.

Lastly, I picked up a new shampoo and conditioner. I got the Herbal Essences Clearly Naked Moisture Shampoo. I actually haven't used this yet so I can't give a report but the reason I got it is that it says that it is 0% silicone and colourant. I wanted to try a shampoo and conditioner that had no silicone so I decided to start off at the more inexpensive scale and see how I like it. I will report back when I've used it.

Thanks for reading guys and I hope you enjoyed this little haul!

September Beauty Favourites

 Hey guys!
Today I am doing a post on my favourite products during the month of September. Hope you all enjoy :)

The first product that I've been loving this month is Mac's eyeshadow in Woodwinked. This has been amazing for those days that I've been rushing to get to college. I take a blending brush and blend Woodwinked all over my lid and into my crease and then add winged eyeliner and it looks like a bronzed smoky eye that I've spent loads of times on! It has quickly become a part of my everyday makeup look which is why I had to feature this eyeshadow in my favourites.

This month I fell in love with the Tresemme Liquid Gold Restorative Complex Perfecting Treatment for my hair. I have never used a serum that has left my hair as soft as when I use this! Not only does but hair feel soft, it looks shiny and frizz free! It is argan oil infused which is probably why it leaves your hair so soft BUT it does not come with the expensive price tag that a lot of argan oil hair products do. This product was an absolute winner for me during the month of September.

As autumn is finally here I've been obsessed with pretty much all berry lipsticks. The one that I probably used the most in September was Rimmel London Kate Moss Lipstick in 107. It's the perfect berry red colour for autumn and the formula is long lasting which is perfect for when I have it on all day in college as I don't have to do many touch ups.

For the days that I didn't feel like wearing a berry lipstick I reached for the Sleek Matte Me lip cream in 436 Birthday Suit. It's the perfect autumn nude for me as it's a dark nude with a hint of pink and looks amazing on the lips. It's long lasting once again which is so important for me when I know I'm going to be out of the house for most of the day. It can be a little bit drying but I just apply a little bit of clear gloss over top and then I'm good to go!

Last but not least is the Wet n Wild Colour Icon blush in Pearlscent Pink. This is an absolutely stunning pink with a hint of coral blush that has gold shimmer running through. This blush creates the most gorgeous shimmering flush on the cheeks and has become my favourite blush of all time (big statement, I know!). This has been the only blush I've used throughout the whole month of September!

Thank you so much for reading and I really hope you enjoyed hearing what I loved in September.

Products I Regret Buying

Hey guys!
Today I'm going to do a blog post on products that I personally regret buying. I find reading this kind of blog post really helpful and I hope you do too!

The first product that I'm going to talk about is the Wet n Wild mega volume mascara. This just did not work for me. It made my eyelashes a bit blacker but that was about it. It did not lengthen my lashes nor did it give them volume. It is an inexpensive product but for me it still is not worth buying.

Up next we have the YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick in number seven. There are a   lot of things that I do like about this lipstick such as the colour and how moisturising it is on the lips. What I don't like is how creamy it is. It feels almost slippery on the lips and does not wear well throughout the day. This is an expensive product and I don't feel that it is worth the price which is why I regret buying it.

I do like the Rimmel London Provocalips line in pretty much every colour except 230 Kiss Fatal. This colour is just so patchy and definitely doesn't give your lips even coverage. Any time I have applied this colour I have regretted it straight away because I have yet to find a way to make it look good.

And lastly we have the Rimmel London Matte Apocalips in 307 Meteoric Matte. I love this colour but the formula.. not so much. It's supposed to be matte and when I think of a matte lipstick I think of it as something that isn't going to budge from my lips whereas this lip product transfers everywhere and gradually gets patchy with increased wear. This is the only colour I have tried in this range so I can't comment on the rest of them but Meteoric Matte definitely did not work for me.

Thanks for reading guys and I hope you found this some way helpful or at least interesting to read!

My Top 5 Lipsticks for Autumn/Winter

  Hey guys!
Today I'm doing a post on my favourite and probably most used lipsticks of autumn and winter. Summer is definitely coming to an end in Ireland and the rain is back (not that it really ever left) and as a result my makeup has become a lot more autumn inspired and I've fallen back in love with all of the following lipsticks.

From left to right; Sleek Mulberry, Artdeco 105, Mac Media, Nars Fanny and Mac Retro

The first lipstick that I'm going to talk about is probably the most dramatic of the lot and it is a Sleek lipstick in Mulberry. This lipstick is a dark vampy purple and is just perfect for autumn/winter time. I love to wear this lipstick with a simple eyeshadow look and winged eyeliner. The formulation of Sleek lipsticks are fantastic and as expected Mulberry is super moisturising and pigmented. This is my favourite bold statement lipstick of autumn/winter.

In winter I absolutely love a bright red lip (probably because I'm starting to get in a Christmassy mood). My favourite red lipstick of the moment is an Artdeco lipstick in 105. This is the perfect bright red lipstick with a bit of shine. This lipstick is also very moisturising which I love. I love wearing this lipstick with a gold smoky eye and I am ready and in the Christmas spirit (four months early but shhh).

I love a vampy lip in autumn and winter but sometimes Mulberry can be a bit too intense. When this is the case I love using Mac Media. This is a dark red with a hint of purple. It's a satin formula which means it has a bit of moisture in it BUT it doesn't budge which is amazing. This is probably my most used lipstick in autumn.

In autumn and winter I am in college which means I go out clubbing a lot more than I did during the summer. My favourite lipstick to wear on a girls night out is the Nars Audacious lipstick in Fanny. I always feel super girly when I wear this. I usually wear clubbing outfits that are more on the edgy/grungy side so wearing a bright pink lipstick adds an interesting twist (in my opinion anyway lol). I love the formula of the Nars Audacious lipsticks as they feel moisturising on the lips and are comfortable to wear.

The final lipstick that I will be talking about today is Mac Retro. For me, this is the perfect autumn/winter nude. Its a dark browny nude with a slight hint of mauve which gives it that autumn/winter edge. This lipstick is easy to whack on in a rush when you don't have the time to carefully apply a bright lipstick. It also is a satin formula which as I said before means its moisturising and long lasting (do you see the pattern?)

Thanks so much for reading guys, I hope you enjoyed and I'll talk to you all soon!

Top 5 Products under 5 Euro

  Hey guys!
First of all I want to say sorry that I haven't posted in so long but I've been busy getting ready to go back to college! Anyway today I'm going to do a post on my favourite makeup products that are under five euro and are perfect products for people on a budget or just anyone looking to save money.

The first thing that I'm going to talk about is a bit of a cheat because I'm going to tell you about two different lipsticks but I'm going to count it as one because it's the one brand (totally cheating). I love Catrice because it's a very affordable brand but is great quality. I particularly love the lipsticks from the brand. They're exceptional for how affordable they are. There are two different ranges that I know of; the ultimate shine range and the ultimate colour range. The ultimate shine range has good pigmentation and is also super moisturising. My favourite colour from this range is Corallicious Pink. It's a gorgeous nude peach with a hint of pink (if that makes any sense). It's a perfect everyday colour and it's super handy because you can reapply easily throughout the day without using a mirror. The ultimate colour range is extremely pigmented and like the name suggests, is quite long wearing. Even though it is long wearing it's not drying on the lips whatsoever which is amazing! My favourite from this range is 050 Princess Peach which is a bright peachy orange colour. This colour is a really nice pop of colour on the lips.

The next product that I'm going to talk about is a lipliner from Essence. The lipliners from Essence are amazing in general but my favourite is 15 Honey Berry which is an amazing dark berry pink. It's a fab colour and also lasts all day on the lips but is creamy when applying. The best part? It's one euro twenty nine cents! It's amazing to find such a good quality lipliner for such an affordable price.

Everyone seems to be going mad for eyebrow gels and mascaras lately and I am delighted to say that I've found one that is amazing but costs less than a fiver. That is the Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Mascara in Browny Brows. This has little fibres in it which makes your eyebrows look fuller and also tints your eyebrows and accentuates your own eyebrow hairs and contributes to the whole effect of making your eyebrows look fuller. It also keeps your eyebrows in place. Overall it's an excellent product!

Next we have the Collection Gorgeous Glow in 2 Bronzing Block. This is an absolute must have product if you like bronzed and glowy cheeks. It gives the cheeks a gorgeous bronze colour with a shimmer that just looks amazing. You can also use this product as a one step product for the effect of bronzer/blush and highlighter so it also saves time in the mornings.

The last product that I'm going to talk about is a highlighter from Chit Chat. It's a liquid highlighter so you dab it on to the points of your face that you want to highlight, blend it in and it gives that beautiful 'glow from within' look. It's especially great for pale girls as it has a slight pink undertone. Basically it's another amazing product (could I say amazing any more times in this post haha).

Hope you enjoyed this blog post guys and let me know if you have any suggestions for more cheap but amazing products!
