My Top 5 Lipsticks for Autumn/Winter

  Hey guys!
Today I'm doing a post on my favourite and probably most used lipsticks of autumn and winter. Summer is definitely coming to an end in Ireland and the rain is back (not that it really ever left) and as a result my makeup has become a lot more autumn inspired and I've fallen back in love with all of the following lipsticks.

From left to right; Sleek Mulberry, Artdeco 105, Mac Media, Nars Fanny and Mac Retro

The first lipstick that I'm going to talk about is probably the most dramatic of the lot and it is a Sleek lipstick in Mulberry. This lipstick is a dark vampy purple and is just perfect for autumn/winter time. I love to wear this lipstick with a simple eyeshadow look and winged eyeliner. The formulation of Sleek lipsticks are fantastic and as expected Mulberry is super moisturising and pigmented. This is my favourite bold statement lipstick of autumn/winter.

In winter I absolutely love a bright red lip (probably because I'm starting to get in a Christmassy mood). My favourite red lipstick of the moment is an Artdeco lipstick in 105. This is the perfect bright red lipstick with a bit of shine. This lipstick is also very moisturising which I love. I love wearing this lipstick with a gold smoky eye and I am ready and in the Christmas spirit (four months early but shhh).

I love a vampy lip in autumn and winter but sometimes Mulberry can be a bit too intense. When this is the case I love using Mac Media. This is a dark red with a hint of purple. It's a satin formula which means it has a bit of moisture in it BUT it doesn't budge which is amazing. This is probably my most used lipstick in autumn.

In autumn and winter I am in college which means I go out clubbing a lot more than I did during the summer. My favourite lipstick to wear on a girls night out is the Nars Audacious lipstick in Fanny. I always feel super girly when I wear this. I usually wear clubbing outfits that are more on the edgy/grungy side so wearing a bright pink lipstick adds an interesting twist (in my opinion anyway lol). I love the formula of the Nars Audacious lipsticks as they feel moisturising on the lips and are comfortable to wear.

The final lipstick that I will be talking about today is Mac Retro. For me, this is the perfect autumn/winter nude. Its a dark browny nude with a slight hint of mauve which gives it that autumn/winter edge. This lipstick is easy to whack on in a rush when you don't have the time to carefully apply a bright lipstick. It also is a satin formula which as I said before means its moisturising and long lasting (do you see the pattern?)

Thanks so much for reading guys, I hope you enjoyed and I'll talk to you all soon!

Top 5 Products under 5 Euro

  Hey guys!
First of all I want to say sorry that I haven't posted in so long but I've been busy getting ready to go back to college! Anyway today I'm going to do a post on my favourite makeup products that are under five euro and are perfect products for people on a budget or just anyone looking to save money.

The first thing that I'm going to talk about is a bit of a cheat because I'm going to tell you about two different lipsticks but I'm going to count it as one because it's the one brand (totally cheating). I love Catrice because it's a very affordable brand but is great quality. I particularly love the lipsticks from the brand. They're exceptional for how affordable they are. There are two different ranges that I know of; the ultimate shine range and the ultimate colour range. The ultimate shine range has good pigmentation and is also super moisturising. My favourite colour from this range is Corallicious Pink. It's a gorgeous nude peach with a hint of pink (if that makes any sense). It's a perfect everyday colour and it's super handy because you can reapply easily throughout the day without using a mirror. The ultimate colour range is extremely pigmented and like the name suggests, is quite long wearing. Even though it is long wearing it's not drying on the lips whatsoever which is amazing! My favourite from this range is 050 Princess Peach which is a bright peachy orange colour. This colour is a really nice pop of colour on the lips.

The next product that I'm going to talk about is a lipliner from Essence. The lipliners from Essence are amazing in general but my favourite is 15 Honey Berry which is an amazing dark berry pink. It's a fab colour and also lasts all day on the lips but is creamy when applying. The best part? It's one euro twenty nine cents! It's amazing to find such a good quality lipliner for such an affordable price.

Everyone seems to be going mad for eyebrow gels and mascaras lately and I am delighted to say that I've found one that is amazing but costs less than a fiver. That is the Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Mascara in Browny Brows. This has little fibres in it which makes your eyebrows look fuller and also tints your eyebrows and accentuates your own eyebrow hairs and contributes to the whole effect of making your eyebrows look fuller. It also keeps your eyebrows in place. Overall it's an excellent product!

Next we have the Collection Gorgeous Glow in 2 Bronzing Block. This is an absolute must have product if you like bronzed and glowy cheeks. It gives the cheeks a gorgeous bronze colour with a shimmer that just looks amazing. You can also use this product as a one step product for the effect of bronzer/blush and highlighter so it also saves time in the mornings.

The last product that I'm going to talk about is a highlighter from Chit Chat. It's a liquid highlighter so you dab it on to the points of your face that you want to highlight, blend it in and it gives that beautiful 'glow from within' look. It's especially great for pale girls as it has a slight pink undertone. Basically it's another amazing product (could I say amazing any more times in this post haha).

Hope you enjoyed this blog post guys and let me know if you have any suggestions for more cheap but amazing products!

FOTD: Sleek Oh So Special Eye Look

  Hey guys!

Today I'm doing a blog post on the makeup I wore yesterday. It's a pretty neutral look as I wasn't doing much but I thought I would show you anyway! Enjoy :)

Face
  • Mac Pro Longwear Concealer in NC15
  • Loreal Paris 24 Hour Matte Foundation in 10 Porcelain mixed with Manic Panic Dreamtone Flawless Foundation in White
  • Wet n Wild Coverall Pressed Powder in Fair
  • Sleek Contour Kit in Light (contour colour to bronze the face slightly)
  • Mac Powder Blush in Style

Eyes
For the eyes I used the Sleek i-Divine Mineral Based Eye Shadow Palette in Oh So Special 658. I think that this eye shadow palette came with a sheet with the names of each eye shadow colour but I have lost this sheet a long time ago so I decided to number the eye shadows to make it easier to understand which eye shadow I'm referring to (I hope that long ramble made sense haha).
  1. I firstly used shade 1 to highlight the brow bone. I then mixed shade 2 and 3 and applied it across the lid.
  2. I put shade 4 into the crease and then blended it out using shade 5.
  3. I used the Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner in 2 Purple as my eyeliner and then applied my Bourjois 1 Second Volume Mascara to finish the eye look.

Lips
  • Wet n Wild Lip Liner in Willow
  • Nyx Butter Gloss in Éclair

Thanks for reading the post and I hope you liked the look!

Haul: Mother daughter shopping weekend

  Hey guys!
Last weekend my mother and I stayed in Dublin for two nights and had a shopping weekend. Today I thought I would show you some of the things that I bought!

In Boots I bought The Nudes eye shadow palette by Maybelline New York. I have used this palette a few times since I bought it and I have to say I love it! Some of the more shimmery colours you have to build up but once you do they look fantastic. It's a perfect eye shadow palette for your everyday makeup bag because you can create so many different looks with it.

I also bought the Collection Extreme 24 Hours Felt Tip Liner in the purple colour. I have been using this instead of a black liner ever since I  got it! The eye liner itself has a great formula and really stays put and doesn't smudge on me and I absolutely love the purple colour! My eyes are green so the purple really makes them pop. It's a dark purple so it's not in your face but it makes a statement at the same time.

I bought this adorable phone case in Penneys (Primark). There's not much to say about this purchase except it's the cutest phone case I've ever seen and was only three euro fifty cents!

The last makeup product that I bought is a foundation by Collection called Colour Match in 1 Porcelain. I love the formula of this foundation as it stays all day on my skin! However it does not adapt to your skin tone like it claims (unrealistic claim in my opinion). I also am disappointed at the colour range of this foundation. Porcelain 1 is the lightest shade but it's just not light enough for a lot of irish girls skin tones. But the foundation itself is lovely!

There was a sale on in Topshop which I was extremely excited about and that's where I picked up these sneakers. They were originally twenty nine euro but I bought them for fifteen. These are the comfiest shoes that I've bought in a long time. I wore them for a full day of intense shopping (slightly exaggerating lol) but they did not hurt my feet in the slightest and not to mention they look amazing!

I bought this next top in Miss Selfridges! I love this top and I especially love the criss cross lace up detail which gives it something extra. This top also pretty much goes with everything which is always a bonus!

The last item of this haul is a top from H&M. It's a simple top but the black lining around the collar and sleeves and the black print makes it look a bit more edgy. This top would look amazing with black jeans and dark red lipstick (which is the main reason why I bought it lol).

I hope you all enjoyed this blog post and thanks for reading! And I'd also like to say thank you sooo much for 300 hundred followers it means so much to me!
