July Beauty Faves

  Hey guys!
Today I'm going to do a blog post on my top five favourite beauty products of July as July is now coming to an end (btw when did this happen?!) This month I found new products that are going to stay in my beauty regime for a very long time and I can't wait to share them with you!

This month for my hair I've been loving the Herbal Essences Bee Strong Intensive Mask with Honey and Apricot (which makes it smell AMAZING). When I use this I can see such a huge difference in my hair, It looks and feel so much softer and healthier. I dampen my hair and then apply generously and leave it in my hair for about half an hour for a deep treatment and it just rejuvenates my hair! It also leaves my hair smelling delicious which is a definite plus.

I have two items this month that I've been loving for skincare. The first of which is the Pro Formula Purifying Thermal Face Mask. This is a fantastic mask, I can't praise it enough! I had a few bad breakouts this month and this mask helped so much in reducing redness of spots and also reducing the pain of the spots. It only needs to be left on for five minutes so it's great if you need a quick skin pick me up. I bought mine in Tesco for one euro and thirty cents which is amazing for a good face mask. A definite must have for acne prone skin!

The second skincare product that I have been loving this month is the PS. Love Your Skin Micellar Multi-Purpose Cleanser. I have been using this product after washing my face to make sure that all my makeup has been thoroughly removed. It helps take off makeup or dirt that I had no idea was still lingering on my face! It is super gentle and hasn't broken me out at all. It's also two euro which is great for skincare on a budget.

The next product that I've been loving is a makeup product for your eyebrows. This is the Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara and I use mine in 02 Browny Brows. This is an AMAZING dupe for the Benefit Gimme Brow but sooo much cheaper. It gives a tint to your brows and also contains fibres which makes your eyebrows look fuller. I use it on it's own on a natural makeup day or when I'm in a rush and it makes my brows look much fuller and helps shape them in a really short anount of time and with little effort.

I feel like I'm the last person to talk about this but during the month of July I bought Mac's lip liner in Whirl and it absolutely lives up to the hype! It is a beautiful colour and is the perfect lip liner for the 90's lip trend going around lately. It also makes whatever lipstick I'm wearing over it last so much longer. Overall it's a fantastic product.

Hope you enjoyed today's blog post guys and I'll talk to you all soon!

OOTD: A cold(ish) summers day

  Hey guys!
Today I'm just doing a quick OOTD on the outfit I wore today (duh). I loved todays outfit I thought it was a nice mixture of vintage and grunge. I hope you all like it too!

The denim jacket that I'm wearing is from Bershka. I love the Looney Tunes illustrations and the fact that it looks quite worn in.  My jeans are the black Joni jeans from Topshop. They are by far my favourite jeans that I own as they are the only ones that I have that fit me absolutely perfectly (I'm very small haha). My top is a recent purchase and it's from Boohoo.com. I love the back and I'm definitely going to buy more tops with a similar back! My poor bank account haha... My shoes are from River Island and add a bit of a grungy vibe to this outfit. My hair band is from Penneys (Primark). I haven't worn it in a quite a while I must admit, but I loved how it looked today and I'm definitely going to wear it a lot more!

I hope you enjoyed todays post and I'll talk to ye soon!

Top 5 Mac Lipsticks

Hey guys!
I went into Mac a few days ago and saw a young girl at the lipstick section looking completely overwhelmed by the amount of lipsticks there. This reminded me of the first time I ever went into Mac determined to leave with my very first Mac lipstick (it was very exciting for my fourteen year old self). I went in and was so overwhelmed by the range of colours there and had no idea which one to get and remembering this inspired me to make a blog post about my top five mac lipsticks in the hope that it might help any young girls out there or any beginners. The lipsticks that I am about to talk about are the top five lipsticks that I would recommend from Mac. Even if you are not a young girl reading this it might still give you ideas of a new Mac lipstick to get to build up your collection.

The first lipstick that I love is Creme Cup. This is a beautiful nude pink and is perfect for everyday wear. Creme Cup is in a Cremesheen formula which means it's very moisturising and does not require much maintenance throughout the day. In fact I often wack it on without even looking in the mirror and it looks perfect so it's a great lipstick if you're in a rush. It is a pretty neutral colour and therefore goes with a great variety of eye looks. This is a lipstick that I would highly recommend to beginners.

The next lipstick that I'm going to talk about is Verve. This shade of lipstick is hugely popular right now and is very 90s inspired. Its a brown nude with a hint of mauve. It's not a shade that's too out there but at the same time it makes a statement so it's a good one if you're starting to venture into bold statement lipsticks. It's in a Satin formula, which is personally my favourite formula. It's definitely not as moisturising as the Cremesheen formula but the lasting power is far superior. It's not completely matte either so it's a nice compromise between a Cremesheen and a Matte lipstick.

Verve

I think that every girl needs a bright pink in their makeup collection and for me that's Girl About Town. This is a bright fuschia pink and is the perfect girly colour. The main problem with wearing pink lipsticks is that they can often make your teeth look yellow but I do not experience this problem with Girl About Town! I'm not a girly girl but I do enjoy occasionally putting on this lipstick and feeling a bit more feminine. This is in an Amplified formula which is like a mixture between the Cremesheen formula and the Satin formula. It's moisturising like a Cremesheen lipstick but has lasting power like a Satin lipstick. It's the best of both worlds (Hannah Montana memories haha).

Girl About Town

Ruby Woo is that classic Hollywood red that every girl needs. You put it on and instantly feel super glamorous and empowered and ready to take on the world (hoping that's not just me). It is in a Matte formula so it can feel quite drying but it's worth it for the lasting power because it doesn't move throughout the day. If you exfoliate and moisturise your lips beforehand you don't see any flakiness on your lips which sometimes Matte lipsticks emphasise. In other words, it's the perfect red lipstick.

Ruby Woo

And finally we have Media. This is by far my most worn lipstick shade in Autumn and Winter. It's that perfect vampy dark red with a hint of purple. It's a satin formula again which means you feel a bit of moisture on your lips and it has lasting power. I usually only need to reapply after I eat or drink something through the day.

Media

So guys those are my top five Mac lipsticks! They are all completely different to each other so I hope I provided a bit of variety and there will be at least one that appeals to everyone! Thanks for reading!
